There has been so many adventures since the last post.  For awhile, I wasn't able to upload any pictures to the blog and then...well time just got away from me.  Guess that is easy to do with a baby.  So to catch up on life Cameron passed on through his 6 and 7 months and now he is into his 8th month!  Time sure does fly by.  Within those months he is has sprouted 2 bottom teeth, figured out how to make it to his hands and knees, then figured out to how move those hands and knees simultaneously and is now moving everywhere!

We dedicated Cameron at church in April.  It was such a special time for us knowing that we are committing ourselves as parents to raise our son to know and love Christ.

Our little guy went to the park for the first time and loved the swings, so much so that he was non stop smiling the whole time.  I am looking forward to taking that kid to the park many more times and swinging away like there is not a care in the world!

Finally, in his 8th month, Cameron is greeting us this way every morning.  What a way to start the morning.  Babies and kids teach us a lot of things as they continue to grow and explore new things, and one thing that I am reminded of each day with Cameron is to go throughout my day with a smile on my face.  Be happy with what God has placed in my life and have a joyful heart towards others.

So much adventures in this past 4 months that have taken us on a wonderful journey.  Praise God we have this chance to enjoy each day with ones we love!

Changes and Blessings

1 year.  One year can make a world of difference in peoples lives.  So many life changes can take place.  Jobs can change, living arrangements can change, along with family dynamics.  For Joey and I a lot changed for us from Christmas 2009 to Christmas 2010.  I was sitting at home thinking about everything that has happend to our little family over the year and what has changed for us.  On Christmas Eve morning last year I walked...well ran really...into the living room to give Joey this.....
It was a GREAT Christmas surprise for us and what was the beginning of change for our family.  One year later, we woke up to find this cute little thing smiling at us...

For us change has been a special experience where we were able to grow together as a couple and as a little family. Change can be good or bad, but hopefully you will look for God's glory in whatever life brought you in 2010 and can rejoice in Him knowing that He has a hand in the life changes that will take place in 2011.  May you embrace what is to come in this next year and look forward to change!  There is a blessing in it somewhere!  Happy New Year from the Bennett's!! :)

Morning Love

There are many loves that I have in my life; my God, my husband, my son, my family, the love of friends and their laughter, but my new found absolute LOVE is waking up in the morning hearing Cameron over the baby monitor.  What a way to wake up!  It just gets me every time.  His squeals, coos, yells, and just plain baby jabber instantly makes me smile.  As I lie in the bed listening to the sweet sounds, I know exactly what he is doing and picture it in my mind.  He is lying in his big comfy crib staring up at his friends the giraffe and elephant smiling and talking away telling them all that he knows.  I often wonder if his sounds were actual words telling his "friends" all about his dreams from the previous night.  After a few minutes of this, I LOVE getting up, creeping into his room and just watch him until he realizes that I am standing there. Then it comes....his BIG gummy smile after his eyes lock in on mine.  Ahhhh...LOVE!  Makes my heart swell every time.  He starts kicking and cooing all the while smiling at his mama.  (Got to give dad credit too...he does the same thing to him!)  This kid is one happy baby and man do I feel blessed God picked us to raise him! Since being back to work, I miss these mornings most of the time, so I treasure each morning I am able to be awakened by this amazing little man.

Sugar Plums and Candy Drops

What happens when you put an entire table full of a vast variety of sugar filled candy in front of a classroom loaded with already hyper 5th graders?
You get a classroom FULL of extremely hyper, energetic students whose minds just come alive with creativity.  Today I watched students take their thoughts and transfer them to candy covered graham crackers while icing was oozing out between the cracks while smiles and laughter filled the room.  For the final creative masterpieces....

Seeing the personalities come alive as the creations were being made is what makes projects like this worthwhile.  Yet, at the end of the day my most treasured little creation is what makes my heart swell!

Well here goes nothing...

I have been thinking about "blogging" for quite some time now, and for some reason I decided to give it a try.  Who knows why I decided to attempt this when life if crazy busy, but I guess it keeps things interesting! My life is so fun and full of laughter with my sweet little bug in the house.  He is just the light of our world, and I thank God for him everyday.

So here goes nothing...my attempt into blogging world.  Lets just see if I can keep up on this! :)
